# Vereign

> Vereign AG builds digital authenticity infrastructure — Open Source Decentralised Key Management (DKMS) and verifiable communication. SEAL, our verifiable messaging entry product, processes 800,000+ secure interactions every month across Swiss healthcare via Health Info Net (HIN). Headquartered in Zug, Switzerland. Licensed under AGPLv3+.

Vereign implements the KERI protocol (Key Event Receipt Infrastructure) to give every organisation a self-certifying cryptographic identity that can be verified by any counterparty without a central certificate authority. We build SSI wallets for organisations — not personal or mobile identity wallets. We are not a blockchain, and not a startup-stage concept: we are a Swiss AG with production infrastructure running today.
