Who the Health Innovation Centre is for
The Health Innovation Centre is exclusively for healthcare organizations. It is designed for institutions that are already responsible for sensitive health data and face the trust infrastructure challenges that come with cross-institutional communication at scale.
Participants include hospitals and hospital networks, cantonal health authorities, national health information networks, digital health startups, and research institutions operating across organizational boundaries. The programme is suited to organizations at any stage — from initial evaluation through production deployment.
HIN (Health Info Net) — operator of Switzerland's health information network and anchor partner of the programme — participated in the full journey from first proof of concept in 2023 to national-scale production deployment processing 800,000+ verified messages per month. The programme draws on that operational experience directly.
The DHI Cluster (Digital Health Innovation Cluster, Bulgaria) connects to Health Innovation Centre activities as a healthcare innovation network, extending collaboration beyond Swiss healthcare institutions to the broader European digital health community.
